Suet is a high energy formulation of animal fat and other ingredients to attract insect eating birds. Suet is a quick source of heat and energy for birds, who’s metabolisms are set on fast forward. It traditionally has been used as a good substitute for the insects that birds usually feed upon but are not plentiful in cold weather. Suet can be presented all year long . The suet we offer is specially designed for year round feeding.

    Nutty Treat Suet Bird Food

In our backyard we have several feeders and suet feeders. We have found that birds love Nutty Treat Suet Bird Food.  Given this suet and other common brands found in local stores, the birds will consistanly prefer Nutty Suet Bird Food. It is a great winter suet. Nutty Treat is loaded with peanuts, millet, corn, oats, and beef suet that attracts a wide variety of birds and gives them the protein they need to survive the harsh winter weather. The peanuts make it especially appealing to flickers, stellar jay’s, flickers, downy woodpeckers, piliated woodpeckders, and many smaller birds.  Every bit is eaten. It is an excellent summer suet as well because it will not melt in the hot sun.  That means there is no waste and  no mess.

We order our Nutty Treat suet by the dozen and highly recommend it.
